Women's Physicals Q & A

What are women’s physicals?

Women’s physicals are comprehensive examinations that include evaluations, diagnoses, preventive medicine, and treatments if needed for common women’s health concerns. Getting screened for medical problems regularly gives you the best chance of avoiding serious complications.

What are the most common women’s health concerns?

Many women face concerns that might include:

  • Breast cancer
  • Cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancers
  • Pelvic pain
  • Heavy menstrual bleeding
  • Menopause symptoms
  • Gynecological problems
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Arthritis
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Hormone imbalance
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Osteoporosis
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)

The experts at TRiiBE Medical LLC work with you to prevent such conditions from occurring or help you better manage an ongoing illness.

What happens during women’s physicals?

During women’s physicals at TRiiBE Medical LLC, your specialist typically completes the following steps:

Vital signs check

Your TRiiBE Medical LLC provider assesses your weight, height, body mass index (BMI), pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs during a vital signs check.

Medical history review

The TRiiBE Medical LLC providers review your medical history. This includes your personal and family medical history, medication regimens, past diagnoses, and current symptoms.

Physical exam

During a women’s physical exam, your provider evaluates your eyes, ears, heartbeat, throat, neck, breathing, and more. They complete a breast exam and pelvic exam, including a Pap test to screen for signs of cervical cancer, if needed. During a Pap test, your specialist takes a sample of cervical cells and sends them to a lab for analysis.

Screening

In addition to cervical and breast cancer screenings, the expert at TRiiBE Medical LLC may recommend you undergo additional diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, urine testing, heart-function tests, bone-density scans, STD testing, and more.

Treatment if needed

If you need treatment for any reason, or you’re interested in vaccinations or birth control, the TRiiBE Medical LLC specialists are here for you. They may recommend you make lifestyle changes, take medications, or undergo additional diagnostic tests or minor procedures. Your provider refers you to a specialist if necessary.

When should I schedule women’s physicals?

Schedule womens’ physicals at TRiiBE Medical LLC every year or more often if your provider asks you to. Call the office if you experience new or worsening symptoms or have concerns about your health.
